West Australian Rick Kulacz fired a round of 7-under par 63 to claim victory in the Coca-Cola Amatil – ILG Casino Pro-Am and his first win for the year on the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series.
Kulacz based out of the Hartfield Golf Club made the turn with a 3-under par 32 backed up with a closing nine of 4-under par 31 on his way to a bogey free round of 63.
“It was my first time playing the course and I enjoyed the layout," said Kulacz.
“The greens had more slope and were much quicker then I had expected.
“I played driver off most of the holes today and my pitching was really solid which gave me a lot of birdies opportunities."
The next best placed professionals were Steven Jeffress and Dane McArdle finishing in equal second position with rounds of 6-under par 64.
“This is a really good country golf course," said Jeffress.
“The course was in fantastic condition for the Pro-Am especially given how dry the area has been over recent months, I thought the greens were outstanding and full credit must go to all involved.”
The next stop on the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series will be the Ocean Shores Country Club where play is now underway for the Carlton & United Breweries Ocean Shores Pro-Am.
