The European Seniors Tour Qualifying School finals got under way in Portugal this week, with Tim Elliott and Glenn Joyner flying the flag for Australia.

Both Elliott and Joyner are lingering in the top-20 after the first round at Pestana Golf Resort in Lagoa.

Elliott shot an even par 71 placing him at T10, while Joyner shot +1 72 giving him a T14 finish.

The European Seniors Tour Q-School is the main way to become a member of the European Senior Tour.
