Tour China’s 2016 season came to a close at the Buick Open.

PGA TOUR player couldn’t quite recreate his top-5 performance of the week
before but a final round 71 on a brutally difficult golf course was enough for
a top-20 result.

Just six
Australians made a start at the final event of the China series where Web.com
Tour cards were awarded to the top-5 on the Order of Merit at the conclusion of
play.

Zecheng
Dou, who dominated the year with four wins in the first seven events, took top
honours and full status while the remaining four players receive conditional
status on the US secondary Tour.

Jack Munro,
Peter Martin and Jake Stirling were the other Australians to finish this week’s
tournament while Taylor Cooper was disqualified and Mitch Davis missed the cut.

South
Australia’s Max McCardle was the best of the Australians on the year end Order
of Merit in 12th place with Rohan Blizard 14th and Daniel
Nisbet 15th.

David
Lutterus was the last of the Australians inside the top-20, taking 20th
position with his strong play in the final two events of the year.
