While the eyes of the golf world are fixed firmly on the US Open this week the in form Josh Younger will be trying to snatch his maiden Professional victory in Asia.
After coming up just shy at last week’s
Thailand Open on the One Asia and Japan Tours, Younger heads back to the Asian
Tour this week for the Queen’s Cup event, also in Thailand.
The 31-year-old took a one shot lead into
the final round last week but a combination of indifferent play and a major
storm delay conspired to see him finish third though he will be keen to go one
better this week.
Younger’s performance last week was built
around a blistering Saturday 64 and if he can maintain that form this week will
be in the mix come Sunday.
There are eight Australians teeing up this
week, Younger joined in the field by Marcus Both, Unho Park, Matt Giles, Paul
Spargo, Jake Stirling, Jarrod John Freeman and Peter Stojanovski.
