Key Quotes:

Daniel Fox, 70, 68,
69, 9-under, 1st

"I got off to a terrific start. The front-9 is a lot more sheltered so I feel a
lot more comfortable on that side. There is a lot more wedges and I had four
birdies and just the one bogey."

"I just felt really comfortable all day with the swing, then got to the back-9.
When you walk up on to that 10th tee you notice how strong the
breeze is. I hit a loose tee shot and made an errant bogey."

"I pretty much just held on, the greens are pretty firm and quite quick. I
managed my game the whole way round, I wasn’t trying to birdie too many holes
just make plenty of easy pars. I had a couple of chances coming in and I
birdied the last so I was very pleased."

Jason Scrivener, 68,
70, 70, 8-under, T2

"I played solid, in parts, and I putted nicely most of the day. It was really
tricky conditions so to walk away with 2-under, I am pretty with that."

"It was a bitter better today; I hit some really good shots. It wasn’t perfect
but I am really happy with the way things went and it was definitely an
improvement on yesterday."

"I have come close this year a few times. Just to get that monkey of my back
would be nice but I am trying not to have too high expectations tomorrow. Just
trying to have a good round and see if it’s good enough."

Michael Sim, 66, 70,
72, 8-under T2

"I just want to give myself some good opportunities on the front-9 tomorrow so
that by the time I’m on the back-9 I’m just really in the tournament."

"I bogeyed the 5th again today. I tried to lay-up because I didn’t
think I could make the green. So that’s two days in a row. I might go at the
green tomorrow, I’ll see how I feel and depending on the hole location."

"Golf WA did a lot for me in junior and state teams; they obviously pretty much
made me the player I am so it would be nice for my first win (in Australia) to
be the WA Open."’

Curtis Luck, 66, 72,
72, 6-under, T4

"I’ve just got to hole a few more putts, that’s pretty much where it’s at for
me. I just haven’t holed as many putts as I probably should have – that’s
probably the reason I’m in the position I am, but there’s nothing wrong with
chasing a lead."

"I think I’m going to be paired with Min Woo so I’m really excited to get out
there and play with him. I haven’t actually played with him in a while, so it’s
going to be awesome.

"Min Woo and I will have a bit of fun out there so that makes it a bit less
stressful, but also it’s great as we’re a bit competitive with one another.
We’ve played a lot of amateur golf together so hopefully it spurs us both to go
on and do some good things."

Min Woo Lee, 70, 71,
69, 6-under T4

"I was a few back this morning so I knew I had to make a few shots up. The
conditions were pretty tough today so to go 3-under, I’m pretty happy with that
round."

"There was a little bit of pressure but I just stuck to my game plan and it
turned out well. I needed to play well today and it’s good to have the support
around. It was pretty good having the little kids follow us around and ask for
signatures, it was good."

"It would be one of the biggest achievements I’ve had. It would be good to get
a good result and beat last year’s record where I got to brag about making the
cut."
