The Ladbrokes Legends Tour event was played across 12 holes at Maleny Golf Club where 58 professionals teed it up in the third-last tournament of the year.

Tinkler’s efforts saw him claim a one-shot victory over Shane O’Brien and Andrew Gott who each carded rounds of 3-under 42.

“It was great playing Maleny, the greens were fabulous and playing 12 holes was novel,” Tinkler said.

“I am looking forward to playing the 18 hole layout next year.”

The competition got hot further down the leaderboard where Gregory Carroll, Simon Tooman, Adam Revai, Chris Hollingsworth and Terry Price tied for fourth place at 2-under the card.

Pre-tournament favourite Peter Senior tied for ninth place at 1-under the card.

The Ladbrokes Legends Tour will move to their penultimate event for 2019, the Lismore Legends Pro-Am, on 11 December.
