Jason Scrivener has posted just his third top 10 finish of the season thanks to some outstanding golf over the weekend at the D+D Real Czech Masters.

""""The West Australian has had a solid though unspectacular 2017 with a series of mostly mid-field finishes but rounds of 68-69 at the Albatross Resort saw him to a T5 result.

He finished at the same mark at the Rocco Forte Open in May though his best result for the year to date was when fourth at the ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth.

Scrivener’s Saturday score was bettered by only four players and his Sunday round by six others, his third round particularly impressive after playing 33 holes for the day.

Heavy rains saw play suspended Friday afternoon when the course flooded, Scrivener having completed just three holes at the time and returning for a marathon Saturday.

He managed seven birdies against just two bogeys in difficult conditions over those 33 holes to climb to a share of 11th heading to the final round.

The same delay had the opposite effect on Nick Cullen who was 2-under through 16 holes of his second round and in the top 15 when play was called Friday.

He dropped a shot to end his second round Saturday morning and never recaptured his momentum as he posted a third round 73 to slip down the standings.

He eventually finished next best behind Scrivener in a share for 43rd at even oar for the week, one ahead of Richard green whose 1-over total was good for T50.

Scrivener, Cullen and Green were the only Australians to play all four days with Brett Rumford, Daniel Fox, Nathan Holman, Ryan McCarthy and Wade Ormsby all missing the cut.
