Adam Scott made his first public Augusta National appearance for the week on Sunday showing off a new haircut while on hand to present prizes at the second Drive, Chip and Putt competition.

"AdamScott was one of eight former champions to give his time to attend the event aimed at growing the game among youngsters.

The Drive Chip and Putt initiative was announced the same year Scott became Australia’s first Green Jacket winner and the former World Number 1 was also a feature at last year’s debut.

The Drive, Chip and Putt is an initiative of the Augusta National Golf Club, USGA and the PGA of America.

Qualifiers for the skills challenge are held all over the US during the year with winners earning a ticket to the final at the coveted club the Sunday before Masters week.

"It’s a reminder of the passion for the game when you started out as a kid and you just love it so much," Scott told Masters.com before presenting Lydia Swan, winner of the Girls 10-11 division, with her trophy.

After dispensing with duties at the club’s practise area Scott played a round with his dad, PGA Professional Phil, for the second year in a row.

Winners of the Masters are afforded honorary membership of the club and are allowed to bring a guest to the club’s final official open day before the tournament begins.

Bubba Watson played with wife Angie for the second time while two time winner Ben Crenshaw, playing his 44th and final Masters, invited his brother Charlie.
