PGA Trainee graduate Joshua Whitehouse shot a career best 6-under 66 to finish alongside Matthew Millar and tie the Yowani Pro-Am
In a twist of fate, Whitehouse sought out the experienced Millar for some tips on his game the day prior to the pair splitting the win in a strong field.
“I went to see Matthew Millar at Gold Creek for some help with my game. His advice was extremely valuable and I was able to use it to my advantage today so I can’t thank him enough,” said Whitehouse.
Tied for 3rd and one shot behind the eventual winners with 5-under 67’s were Jason King and Jordan Zunic.
Andrew Martin, fresh off his Queanbeyan Pro-Am win continued his solid play for a 5th placing on 4-under 68 alongside Alexander Pitty.
Clayton Bridges, Ben Clementson, Andrew Evans and James Nitties rounded out the top-10 on 3-under 69.
The scoring was hot on the Yowani course with prize money paid out to players on 1-under par on the day.
Players now move on to the Federal Golf Club Pro-Am.
