Only the top 36 at season’s end retain full playing privileges for 2019 and with the season almost half gone McKenzie needs some good results if he is to be among their number.
A T3 at the Rapiscan tournament in Mississippi remains his best finish to date, that week proving he has the game to compete with the best of the over 50’s.
However, despite patches of good play he has been unable to find much in the way of consistency, a hallmark of his game for much of his career.
McKenzie is the only Australian playing the Champions Tour full time in 2018.
