After a horror start to the 2018 season Won Joon Lee is getting back on track with a third consecutive cut made on his way to claiming top Australian honours at the Fukushima Open at the weekend.
Lee came alive at the weekend with rounds of 67-67 to post an 11-under total and grab a share of 15th position.
After missing five cuts in the first six events of the season Lee will be pleased with his play in recent weeks thanks to a T13 result at the Mizuno Open and a mid-field finish at the Tour Championship.
Lee was one of nine Australasians in the field with five making the cut, Aaron Townsend, David Bransdon and New Zealand’s Gareth Paddison next best at T59.
Aaron Wilkin was a shot further back and 61st alone, the last of the group to play all four rounds.
Neven Basic and Ryan Lynch both earned starts but failed to qualify for the weekend while Q-School survivor Andrew Evans and Japan Tour regular Scott Strange also played only two days.
