Glenn Joyner has taken an impressive two-shot victory at the inaugural Gerringong Legends Pro-Am in New South Wales.
The seaside links course made its Ladbrokes Legends Tour debut in stunning conditions however the unknown layout provided a test for the 48 senior professionals teeing it up.
Displaying the form that has seen him win on a number of occasions this year, Joyner was crowned the event’s first champion with a round of 5-under 67.
“When I drove in here the course reminded me of some of the courses I’ve played in Scotland,” Joyner said in his winner’s speech.
“You have a real gem here and I can’t wait to get back next year to play it again.”
Ladbrokes Legends Tour Order of Merit leader Michael Harwood kept his consistent season going with a runner-up finish at Gerringong Golf Club.
Harwood posted a round of 3-under 69 to finish one shot ahead of Lucien Tinkler and John Onions whose rounds of 2-under 70 resulted in a tie for third place.
