59 Professionals from across Australia and New Zealand took to the Pioneer Valley Golf Club today for the 16th Commercial Mine Recycling Pioneer Valley Pro-Am, with R.J Caracella and Steven Jeffress claiming the 2015 title
The duo fired a 7-under 65 and were the only past champions to compete in the field this year’s event.
This is the first win for Caracella on the Choice Hotels PGA Pro-Am Series, while for Jeffress a second at the Pioneer Valley course after also claiming victory back in 2010.
Jeffress who is the current Fiji International Champion, was happy with his game and is looking forward to the upcoming events.
"I always love coming back to Pioneer Valley to support their Pro-Am as the day is always enjoyable and the course is always set up well for a professional event," said Jeffress.
"There is no doubt it’s a good time to be finding a little form heading into three big weeks here in Queensland, as these tournaments are a really good lead up to the events on the PGA Tour of Australasia later in the year."
Professionals will now make their way to the Mackay Golf Club, for tomorrow’s opening round of the $60,000 New Pioneer Motors City of Mackay Open.
