West Australian Daniel Hoeve has produced the lowest round of the South West Open in Bunbury firing 6-under 66 to hold the lead.
Posting a two round total of 10-under 134 Hoeve is enjoying the experience of playing in his home state.
Through nine WA events this season, Hoeve is currently running second on the WA /NT Choice Hotels Order of Merit race.
Amateur Ben Seward from Cottesloe Golf Club is the closest pursuer on 9-under after producing a very solid 5-under 67 in round two, but not to be outdone by Victorian Rory Bourke who followed up his first round co-lead with another 4-under 68 to be just two shots back from the lead.
With the cut now enforced to the top 70 players (plus ties) the action is sure to heat up as the best of WA turns out to conclude play. With players the calibre of Jason Norris (SA) Kim Felton (WA) Mitchell A. Brown (NSW) and defending champion Grant Thomas (NSW) all inside the top-10 this tournament is still far from finished.
