Richard Green has taken a share of the halfway lead at the Omega European Masters after a 4-under 66 saw him move to the top of the leaderboard on 9-under the card, alongside Richard Bland and French rising star, Romain Langasque.

Starting the second round on 5-under and tied fifth, Green opened steady firing five birdies in his round; three consecutively on 13, 14 and 15. The only flaw on his card came at the par-4 17th were he recorded a lone bogey.""

"It’s been a bit of a difficult road this year and it’s nice to be playing some nice golf again. My game is feeling very solid and the work I’ve put in in the last few months to try and get it right, it’s starting to show some signs again," said Green.

"I’m very happy with the limited amount of bogeys and to keep them off the card and keep progressing, attacking for birdies and if I can keep doing that over the weekend I’ll be happy."

"My driving hasn’t been great early part of the season but it’s certainly coming together and allowing me to play golf so that and the putting have been working pretty well. When those two parts of my game come good I play well."

"Keeping my card is in the back of my mind and I’ll be doing as much as I can to make sure I can do that as soon as possible."

The Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club has treated the Aussie contingent well this week and sees Scott Hend, Marcus Fraser and Nathan Holman all within the top-15.

Hend fired a second round of 3-under 67 and is only one shot behind the leaders. Fraser is three shots back after a 1-under a 69, Holman, who equaled the highest round of the day to card 7-under 63, is a further shot back. Brett Rumford was the only other Aussie to make the weekend after a 2-under 68.

The cut was made at 1-over the card, with Andrew Dodt and Sam Brazel both missing the weekend action.
