The former Phillipines Open winner scraped into the weekend by a shot and eventually finished T53 but none of the other eight Australians who teed up fared as well.

Josh Younger, fresh off a brilliant third place finish on the One Asia Tour last week, was forced to withdraw after an opening round 77 while the rest struggled in difficult conditions.

The cut came at 4-over after two rounds leaving Peter Stojanovski and Unho Park one shot shy while Matthew Giles, Jake Stirling, Paul Spargo and Jarrod John Freeman were all two shots or more outside the mark.
