Victorian Josh Younger is in position to retain his Asian Tour card for 2019 after a second straight top-15 finish, leading the Aussies home at the Mercuries Taiwan Masters at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club in Chinese Taipei.
In what was a difficult week for scoring, 46-year-old Brazilian Adilson Da Silva won the famed event by a shot with a total of 7-under par, Younger’s four-round total of even par earning him a tie for 13th.
Tied for 10th at the Take Solutions Masters last start, Younger moved up 10 places on the Habitat for Humanity standings to now sit in 74th position with seven full-field Asian Tour events remaining.
There were also positive moves on the moneylist for Jake Higginbottom and Maverick Antcliff who finished tied for 18th at 2-over par, the pair both closing out the tournament with rounds of 1-over 73.
The top-20 result saw Higginbottom move up six places to now be 75th on the money list while Antcliff, who sat near the top of the leaderboard following an opening round of 69, jumped 11 places from 90th to sit in 79th position and within reach of the all-important top-60.
Terry Pilkadaris suffered a Sunday tumble down the leaderboard due to a 5-over 77 that saw him finish in a tie for 34th with Travis Smyth continuing his recent run of good form to be tied for 42nd.
