New South Welshman Jamie Arnold has made a major move on the Web.com Tour order of merit following another strong performance at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open at Le Triomphe Golf and Country Club.

"JamieSet up by a blistering 8-under par 63 in his second round, Arnold recorded his first top-15 finish of the season as Vince Covello outlasted Justin Lower on the third hole of their sudden-death playoff.

Tied for 11th in this event 12 months ago, Arnold was able to draw on those positive vibes to be in the hunt for a top-10 result heading into the final round but three birdies and two bogeys saw him drop four places to finish tied for 13th, his best finish since the Lincoln Land Championship in July last year.

As a result, Arnold moved up 25 places from 81st to 56th on the moneylist and within sight of the all-important top-25.

Cameron Percy dropped two places on the moneylist to 18th after finishing tied for 32nd but the fall could have been much greater if not for a spectacular final round.

Four birdies on the front nine saw Percy surge up the leaderboard on Sunday with an eagle at the par-5 where he chipped in from the fringe and a fifth birdie at the par-4 15th seeing him climb 22 places courtesy of a bogey-free 7-under 64.

Like Percy, Rhein Gibson dropped two places on the order of merit as he finished tied for 37th but he remains inside the top-25 in 19th position.
