Taking to the Twin Waters Golf Club course following four days of play in the Volkswagen Scramble Championship Final, recent knowledge of the course played in favour of the Warwick Golf Club Head Professional.
“Having played at Twin Waters for the past four days I felt pretty comfortable most of the day that I knew where to leave it and leave the big numbers off the scorecard,” said Eaves.
“Hamilton Island is one of the greatest golfing experiences in the country and I am honoured to be heading back to try and win a National Championship and a potential start in the Australian PGA Championship.”
Not only does Eaves win a trip to the PGA Professionals Championship Final including return airfares to Hamilton Island; Clinton Lourens and Maleny Golf Club Head Professional Wayne Perske also receive an exemption to play in the 2020 QLD PGA Championship after firing rounds of 2-under 70 around the Twin Waters layout.
In addition, the top 13 players all gained entry into the PGA Professionals Championship Final to be staged from 19-21 November at Hamilton Island Golf Club.
Twin Waters Golf Club General Manager Stephen Hutchison was the leading PGA Professional over the age of 50 and therefore, after his round of 75, wins an exemption into the 2019 Australian PGA Seniors Championship.
The last qualifying event for the 2019 PGA Professionals Championship Final will occur in NSW at Cromer Golf Club on 30 July.
