With the Australian PGA Championship set to tee off tomorrow morning, and with impressive depth and experience in the field, the PGA Media team took to the fairways to ask a few experts of their predictions.

Whilst Adam Scott is clearly the favourite, many believe that there are a few other contenders for the title, including many of the past champions in the field.

Simon Butterly (PGA of Australia, General Manager Tournament Division)

Greg Chalmers – I like the way he played the Emirates Australian Open. He’s in good form and knows how to win the Australian PGA Championship.

Carey Ewing (Wife of Tour Professional Michael Long)

Michael Long – I am contractually obliged to say Michael!

Luke Elvy (Freelance Sports Reporter)

Adam Scott – he is defending champion and superior player in the field, it’s hard to look past world number 3 but as we’ve seen over the past few weeks Adam’s been susceptible to one poor round and if that trend continues I wouldn’t  be surprised if someone like Marc Leishman takes the prize.

Olivia McMillan (PGA of Australia, Media)

Robert Allenby – he’s been in good form with top 10 finishes at the Masters and Australian Open. He likes the PGA and is keen to win his 5^th title.

Bruce Young (Golf Writer)

Adam Scott – the obvious choice is Adam Scott, but looking outside that for variety I would say Robert Allenby. He’s found form over the last couple of weeks with a couple of top 10 finishes. He’s won this four times before, not at this course but he still knows how to win the PGA Championship.

Steve Keipert (Golf Australia Magazine)

Matt Griffin – he is due for a win in Australia coming solid performance oversees this year.
