Nine Aussies added to Asia Q-School finale


A total of 27 Australians will contest next week’s Asian Tour Q-School final stage after nine punched their tickets at the second wave of first stage qualifying last week.

A total of 27 Australians will contest next week’s Asian Tour Q-School final stage after nine punched their tickets at the second wave of first stage qualifying last week.

40 full cards will be awarded at the final stage which will
be played in Thailand beginning Wednesday.

Jordan Sherratt, Neven Basic, Mark Leich, Michael Moore,
Gavin Flint, Matthew Stieger, Mitchell Brown, Jake Stirling and Theodore
Coroneo all got through to join eight Australians who qualified a fortnight
ago.

Matt Jager, Chris Gaunt, Rohan Blizard, Jarrod John Freeman,
Matthew Giles, Kevin Lee, Andrew Martin and Daniel Nisbet all earned their
final stage spots two weeks ago.

Those 17 will join a further 10 Australians who are exempt
to the final stage under various categories led by former New Zealand Open
winner Dimi Papadatos.

Also teeing up are Darren Beck, Rick Kulacz, David Gleeson,
Jack Munro, Josh Younger, Paul Spargo, Anthony Choat, Tim Stewart and Peter
Stojanovski.

230 players will contest the final stage.
