Seven Australians will take their place on the 2015 Asian Tour after earning cards at the final stage of Qualifying School at the weekend.

Matthew Giles, Paul Spargo, Jarrod John Freeman, Jake Stirling, Peter Stojanovski, Josh Younger and Kevin Lee were all among the 47players to earn cards at the event which concluded Saturday.

The top 40 players and ties were awarded cards, 47 players eventually making the grade.

Former New Zealand Open winner Dimi Papadatos birdied his final hole of the tournament but agonisingly came up one shot shy of earning a card.

27 Australians were among the 231 hopefuls who teed off lastWednesday but only 13 made the 36-hole cut. Among those not to play the final two rounds were Matt Jager, who missed out by a shot, Neven Basic, Daniel Nisbet and Jordan Sherratt.

Among those who made the cut but failed to earn a card were Gavin Flint, Chris Gaunt and Jack Munro.

The 2015 Asian Tour kicks off on February 5 with the Malaysian Open.
