After a brilliant week at Chambers Bay John Senden spearheads a strong Australasian challenge at the inaugural ISPS Handa Global Cup in Japan this week.

Senden, who shot an impressive 2-under 68
in the final round of the US Open to finish T14, is one of 15 Australasians
getting a start in the tournament which also features major champions Jason
Dufner and Charl Schwartzel.

It’s been a brilliant start to the season
on the Japan Tour with at least one Australasian finishing in the top-five in
all seven events played so far and that looks set to continue this week.

Joining Senden are amateur invitees Cameron
Davis and Jarryd Felton as well as Nathan Holman, Asian Tour regular Jake
Higinbottom and reigning Australian Masters champion Nick Cullen.

They will play alongside Japan Tour
regulars Peter Wilson, Matthew Guyatt, Brad Kennedy, Matt Griffin, Steve
Conran, Brendan Jones, Won Joon Lee and New Zealanders Michael Hendry and David
Smail.

Both Hendry and Brad Kennedy are having
great years, Hendry winning the first event of the season and sitting fifth on
the money list while Kennedy has two runner-up results to be ninth.
