Bronson happy to be back in Boise

Last time Bronson La’Cassie played the Boise Open he posted one of his three best career results, 2015 has been an indifferent season for him but a return to the Hillcrest Country Club might be just the spark he needs to end the year in style.

Last time Bronson La’Cassie played the Boise Open he posted one of his three best career results, 2015 has been an indifferent season for him but a return to the Hillcrest Country Club might be just the spark he needs to end the year in style.

"BronsonLa’Cassie’s T3 finish in 2013 was a major contributor to him graduating to the PGA TOUR in 2014 and a similar performance this week would help turn around what has been a difficult year.

The Queenslander, who has one win and two third place finishes in his Web.com Tour career, has found the going tough in 2015 and sits 65th on the money list, well outside the top-25 who will automatically graduate to the PGA TOUR.

Rookie Oliver Goss, coming off his best finish of the season in Canada last week, will also be keen to keep the momentum going as he has now moved inside the top-50 on the money list.

A prodigious talent, Goss has struggled to find consistency in 2015 and after a hot start to the year suffered a mini slump prior to last week’s good play.

With the lure of a PGA TOUR card now before him it would be a surprise if Goss didn’t carry the momentum into this week and the remainder of the season.

In all there are 13 Australians in this week’s field, La’Casssie and Goss joined by Steve Allan, Adam Crawford, Brett Drewitt, Mathew Goggin, Ash Hall, Bryden Macpherson, James Nitties, Alistair Presnell, Nick Flanagan, Rhein Gibson and Aron Price.

Goggin, who won the first event of the
season, has found the going difficult since and has missed his last seven
consecutive cuts to fall to 22nd on the money list, he is joined in
the top-25 by Rhein Gibson who is currently 23rd.

The Tasmanian is in danger of slipping out of the top-25 money earners though is too talented to remain in poor form and will be looking to start the turnaround this week.

Steve Allan is on the fringe of those who will advance to the PGA TOUR next year at 33rd on the money list but will need some consistently good play to push his way into the top-25.

For the rest of the Australians the task looks difficult with only Brett Drewitt (78), James Nitties (86) and Aron Price (97) in the top-100.

Alistair Presnell (115) and Ash Hall (118) are both having uncharacteristically poor seasons while Adam Crawford (121) has been unable to get anything going all year.

There are six events left after this week for players to play their way into the top-75 who will be part of the four tournament qualifying series for next year’s PGA TOUR.
