Peter Fowler continues to be Australia’s best over 50’s performer in Europe, a top-15 finish at this week’s Scottish Senior Open seeing him remain third on the Order of Merit.

Already with two wins this season Fowler teed off in the final round at Archerfield Links in a share of third and despite a disappointing final round finished T13.

Fowler was one of five Australians in this week’s event joined by rookie Peter O’Malley and veteran campaigners Noel Ratcliffe, Mike Harwood and Tim Elliott.

O’Malley got off to a flying start with a 2-under opening round to share the lead after 18 holes but fell off the pace with a second round 78.

A final round 76 saw him finish T35, next best behind Fowler, followed by Noel Ratcliffe (T39), Harwood (T42) and Elliott (T48).
