Fatigue won’t be a problem for John Senden this week as he
aims to win his first Australian PGA Championship in front of a home crowd.

"JohnPlaying at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast Senden
is teeing it up for the third week in a row and is hoping to parlay some solid
form into a win.

"At the Australian
Open and the Masters at Huntingdale I played probably the best I’ve played all year,"
said Senden.

"I feel like I’m in
good form and just need to continue to be in that mindset this week to
hopefully get in there again."

Growing up in
Queensland and now living in Florida, USA, Senden is hoping the conditions will
suit his playing style more than some of the other contenders this weekend.

"All the different
courses we play in Miami are very similar to Gold Coast conditions and this
golf course is pretty much set up now to almost be as difficult as some of the
PGA Tour courses present."

"I think having
that experience of playing in the more humid conditions, more Bermuda style
golf courses, hopefully that puts me in good stead on the weekend."

A strong supporter of the PGA Tour of Australasia, Senden’s
long term vision is to be among the great Aussie players who have each won all
three Triple Crown events.

"I’ve been
supporting the Tour for almost 20 years now and I love playing at home and I
love playing in Queensland," added Senden.

"I’ve
seen so many great players, Greg Norman, Peter Senior, Peter Lonard and all those
guys that have won all three and hopefully one day that I could possibly put
myself in with those names."

"I
want to keep playing competitively at home until hopefully I can get all of
them."

Senden already has an Australian Open title to his name
however is yet to collect this week’s prize.

"There’s no better
place to win, than to do it in Queensland in your home State and also in front
of your friends and family," added Senden.

"They’re all going
to be down here this week and winning the National PGA Championship would be a
dream come true."

Like many others Senden sang the praises of Graham Marsh’s remodelled
back-9 holes, believing the 17th will play a pivotal role in the
outcome of the tournament.

"It’s
a difficult golf hole [the 17th], it looks kind of unassuming but I
think it’s a real factor coming down the stretch," added Senden.

"With
those big trees on the right, bunkers on the left, you’ve really got to hit it
well even to have a look at the green."

Senden
will begin his quest to win the Joe Kirkwood Cup tomorrow at 6.10am.
