"WorldLess than a week after World Cup of Golf defending
champion Jason Day recorded his 10th career PGA TOUR victory at THE
PLAYERS Championship and extended his lead as World No. 1 in the Official Golf
Ranking, tournament officials today announced corporate and private hospitality
options for the 58th edition of the World Cup of Golf are now
available when the event comes to Kingston Heath Golf Club on 22-27, November 2016,
in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

With Day’s victory, he moves to No. 1 in the PGA
TOUR’s FedExCup standings, interestingly enough by jumping 2013 World Cup of
Golf teammate and co-team champion Adam Scott. In November, the World Cup of
Golf will return to team play (two-man teams) from 28 different countries as one
of the most historic global events in the game having been played 57 times in
25 countries and will carry an $8 million (US) purse with the first-place team
splitting $2.56 million. The event boasts an impressive and prestigious list of
winners that includes the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Davis Love III, Fred Couples,
Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Arnold Palmer, Bernhard Langer, Sam Snead, Peter
Thomson, Ben Hogan, Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Jason Day, among many others. As
defending champion of the event, Day, automatically qualifies for this year’s
edition of the World Cup of Golf.

Tournament organizers are urging companies to
secure their place soon. "The World Cup of Golf will have something for
everyone. Whether you are in the corporate industry looking for a white glove
experience to entertain clients or create new business, a massive golf fan
hoping to witness, up close, the very best players in the world in a rare team
competition, or a casual fan looking for a top-level event with a lively
social atmosphere, this is the event for you," said Robyn Cooper, Tournament
Manager of the World Cup of Golf.
