Luxury carmaker Lexus has reignited its support of Australian golf, becoming the exclusive vehicle partner of the Australian PGA Championship.

In a multi-year agreement, Lexus will hold the naming rights to the Lexus Marquee, a public corporate hospitality area located at the Soniq Million Dollar Hole on the par-3 16th.
A Lexus vehicle will also be on offer to professionals competing on the Sunday of the tournament if they capture a hole-in-one.
Lexus will additionally provide an exclusive selection of VIP vehicles for players and sponsors, together with on-course signage and on-site activations as part of the agreement.
Brian Thorburn, CEO of the PGA of Australia, said he welcomed Lexus’ support and investment in the PGA’s flagship tournament.
"The PGA is proud to partner with such a reputable and premium brand like Lexus," Mr Thorburn said
"Support of this nature is fundamental to the ongoing success of our tournament and we are thrilled that the Australian PGA Championship presented as the perfect fit for Lexus to join the PGA family."
Lexus Australia Chief Executive Peter McGregor said the brand was looking forward to being an integral part of the championship as exclusive vehicle partner.
"It gives Lexus great pleasure to begin this association with the Australian PGA Championship and support the prestigious sport of professional golf through a very exciting, multi-faceted agreement," Mr McGregor said.
"This partnership provides excellent opportunities in an appropriate and fitting environment, from the prominent placement of branding to our provision of luxury vehicles to transfer players and sponsor representatives."
Lexus has established a proud tradition of supporting professional golf tournaments worldwide, having previously sponsored the Emirates Australian Open and in the past 12-months renewing its relationship with the United States Golf Association as the exclusive automotive partner supporting the US Open, US Women’s Open and the US Seniors Open through to 2020.
The news marks another significant sponsorship announcement for the PGA in 2016 following the announcement of ISPS HANDA, Qantas Airways, Cobra Puma Golf and Western Union Business Solutions as new corporate partners, while Liberty International Underwriters and Soniq have recently increased their investment.
