Australasian players head to the first stage of the Asian Tour’s Q-School this week hoping to advance to next week’s final stage and a possible card for the 2018 Tour.

""There are 348 golfers from across the world signed up for the opening stages of the 2018 school with 40 cards on offer for those who progress to the final stage.

There are 29 Australians, four New Zealanders and one Fijian teeing up across the four courses in use for the event in Thailand.

Nabil Abdul, Mitchell Brown, Andrew Buckle, Jacob Boyce, Michael Choi and Joe D’Arcy will play the Rayong Green course.

The St Andrews 2000 course will have the largest contingent of Australasians with Rhys Granger, Harrison Russell, Youngkwang Park, Callan O’Reilly, Dale Brandt-Richards, Josh Younger, Matt Stieger, Ash Hall, Andrew Martin, Matthew Dowling, Blake Proverbs, Jordan Cooper, Oliver Goss and New Zealanders Fraser Maclachlan and Gareth Paddison teeing it up, Fiji’s Sam Lee joins the group after securing his 2018 ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia card in December.

Robbie Hogan, Nathan Mann, Luke Humphries, Will Heffernan and Dale Williamson tee off at the Silky Oak course while Keith Lazaroo, Cory Crawford, Michael Wright, Jun Chai, Troy Moses and Kiwi pair Ben Williams and Woonchul Na will play the Windsor Park Golf Club.
