After an impressive showing in the year’s first senior major Peter Fowler will like his chances this week at the Shipco Masters tournament in Denmark.
The five-time European Senior Tour winner stormed home at the Senior PGA in Michigan with a Sunday 66 to finish T33 and will be sharp ahead of the first event on European soil for the year.
A play-off loss in the first event of the season in the UAE in March will still be smarting for Fowler and he will be among the favourites when play gets underway this week.
Three Australasians are in the field in Denmark, Mike Harwood and New Zealand’s Greg Turner also making the trip.
Turner was less than his best last week in missing the cut at the Senior PGA but has proved a force to be reckoned with in over 50’s competition in Europe.
Harwood, meanwhile, makes his first international start for the year at what is the inaugural staging of this event.
