Australian golf fans will be toasting the Australian
PGA Championship winner with a local brew this year, thanks to a new
partnership with the maker of the award-winning craft beer, Yenda.
"Yenda"Named after its hometown in the NSW Riverina, Yenda was today named as the new
official beer of the 2016 Australian PGA Championship, with Pressman’s Cider
signing on as official cider.

It’s part of a new three-year agreement between the PGA of Australia and local
brewery Australian Beer Company that will see both brands delivering
much-needed refreshment to spectators at this year’s Australian PGA
Championship being held at RACV Royal Pines Resort from 1-4 December.

"The Australian PGA Championship is a celebration of golf and we are proud to
partner with Yenda, a local beer, to add to the festival feel of the
tournament," said Brian Thorburn, CEO of the PGA of Australia.

"While we will be watching to see who collects the Joe Kirkwood Cup, Yenda and
Pressman’s have already collected some silverware of their own. They’re clearly
talented up-and-coming Aussies and we’re delighted to welcome them to our
team."

Launched in 2014, Yenda craft beer comes in six easy-drinking styles, including
Craft Lager, Pale Ale and IPA. Like Pressman’s Cider, all are proudly crafted
from the finest local Australian ingredients.

"There’s nothing better after a round of golf than a delicious, refreshing beer
at the 19th hole. It’s woven into the fabric of Australian culture and we are
proud to be part of this," said Sally Byrne, who signed the partnership on
behalf of Australian Beer Company.

In addition to exclusive event pourage rights and course signage, Yenda and
Pressman’s will run a series of activations and tastings in the lead up to the
event.

This is another significant sponsorship announcement for the PGA in 2016 after
Qantas Airways, Cobra Puma Golf, Western Union Business Solutions and Lexus
were announced as new corporate partners, with Liberty International
Underwriters and Soniq recently increasing their investment.
