An extraordinary final day of golf captured the imagination of golf fans around the world as Brad Kennedy claimed the inaugural event of The Players Series at Rosebud Country Club in Victoria.
Brad Kennedy just pulling out the perfect shot when he needs birdie for the win. Brilliant. #ThePlayersSeries @PGAofAustralia

There’s no question #ThePlayersSeries has been a huge success. Men, women and juniors playing together in a tight finish with great crowds and the @rosebudccgolf looking at outstanding on the television. Great for Australian golf! @PGAofAustralia @FOXSportsAUS pic.twitter.com/jBIujM3WiG

Pumped that @suohgolf is in contention as the males and females take on each other at #theplayersseries!

Great event 🏌🏼♂️🏌️♀️ ✅
With a handful of holes to play, we’ve no clue if a male, female, amateur or professional is going to win this inaugural #theplayersseries event at @rosebudccgolf. Has any other event anywhere seen a similar scenario play out? @PGAofAustralia @WPGATour @GeoffOgilvyGolf

What a shot Brad Kennedy. Outstanding. No caddy. Grabbed a club. Knocked it close. 3 foot putt to win the tournament.

A reminder that Elvis Smylie shot -21 to win the QLD Am by 7 in August. He shot -25 to win the Keperra Bowl by 14 in October. He shot a cruisy -3 at Pelican Waters playing alongside Adam Scott. He just shot 63-63 (-16) on the weekend to be r/up @PGAofAustralia. Will be a star

A terrific birdie at the last for Brad Kennedy to take out the inaugural #ThePlayersSeries event at @rosebudccgolf.

It was a real rollercoaster last round and a 5 way playoff wouldn’t have surprised, but the veteran was clutch down the stretch.

Super event #ThePlayersSeries and a wonderful showing by @KRudgeley @MountLawleyGC finishing in T14th at 10 under. Had to dig deep today after a slow start but 4 consecutive birdies from 14 got her in at -3 for the day. Great to see Kirsten’s hard work paying off.

-16 was runner up?!?! if only he had a better caddie! @mikeclaytongolf

Elvis seems like a sure thing. Look forward to seeing him make his mark on the biggest stages. And kudos to his mum for naming him Elvis! @Liz_Smylie
