Dale Williamson has won the Orora Yenda Pro-Am at the unique Yenda Golf Club, recording an outstanding round of 7-under 41 on the 12-hole layout.

A shorter course than most, this point of difference attracted professionals from across the country who provided rave reviews of the club’s volunteer-run hospitality.

Taking advantage of perfect conditions in the Riverina region, Robbie Morrison fired 5-under 43 in the morning session to take the clubhouse lead.

However, as has been the case so far in the NSW swing, scoring was hot with Williamson scorching the 12-hole layout after a recent motorbike accident.

“I fell of a motorbike only a couple of weeks ago overseas and it’s taken my body a while to get over the accident,” said Williamson.

“After shooting 6-over yesterday I didn’t expect much, so this does come as a surprise but I’m really happy.”

Morrison held on for a tied runner-up finish alongside Jack Wilson, Alex Edge and Brad Burns.

Ryan Lynch, Adam Burdett and Andrew Schonewille tied for 9th position on 4-under the card.

The Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series moves to Wagga Wagga on Thursday for the $40,000 Ron Crouch Transport Wagga Wagga Country Club Pro-Am.
