A blistering Sunday back-9 has allowed Kiwi Tim Wilkinson to record his third top-10 finish of the year at the Web.com Tour’s KC Golf Classic at Blue Hills Country Club.

Sitting in a tie for sixth entering the final round, Wilkinson went into freefall on the leaderboard to commence his final round, 2-over through 10 holes and in danger of dropping outside the top-20.

But the New Zealand left-hander began to right the ship with a birdie at the par-4 11th and followed it up with further birdies at 13, 15 and 17 to sign for a 1-under 71 and a share of 10th that moved him up nine spots to 40th on the Order of Merit, four shots behind American winner Michael Gellerman.

A shot behind Wilkinson at 6-under for the week, Jamie Arnold’s tie for 14th saw him advance three spots on the moneylist to be now 36th with Kiwi Nick Voke also finishing in a flurry, birdies at four of his last seven holes securing the best finish of his Web.com Tour rookie season, also tied for 14th.

After making the cut on the number, Brett Coletta made strong progress over the weekend, his 3-under 69 in the final round elevating him 16 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 30th.
