WA Open champion Fox chasing Euro card

New Zealander Ryan Fox had a tough decision to make this week but it would appear he made the right choice.

"RyanLast year Fox launched his career with his first
Professional victory at the WA Open, just two years after joining the PGA Tour
of Australasia.

That win was the start of a huge 2015 season for Fox, who
went on to secure his second victory in February at the Coca-Cola Queensland
PGA Championship.

Signing with renowned player manager Chubby Chandler, Fox
headed to Europe where he earned invites to compete on the European Challenge
Tour.

Fox also qualified for his first Major, The Open, where he
made the cut finishing tied 49th.

Heading back to the Challenge Tour on a high from his Major
performance, Fox recorded a course record 62 on the Golf PGA France du
Vaudrueil layout before winning his third title at the Le Vaudrueil Challenge.

This week the PGA Tour of Australasia has travelled back to
where it all started for Fox, the Nexus Risk TSA Group WA Open.

However Fox isn’t here at Royal Fremantle, having to choose
between the honour of defending his title and earning a European Tour card.

Teeing it up this week at the Challenge Tour season ending
NBO Golf Classic Grand Final, Fox sits inside the top-15 players guaranteed a
European Tour card by less than €2000.

His decision to play in Europe is paying off; he fired a
second round 5-under 67 to be tied 17th at the US$500,000
tournament.
