The tight and tricky Cronulla layout would test a field of 57 Legend Professionals at the Sylvania BMW Cronulla Golf Ladbrokes Legends Pro-Am.

Round one would see a three way tie for lead with David Merriman, Graeme Bannister and defending champion Michael Harwood shoot 2-under 67.

A trio of players  David Hughes, Peter Criss and Steve Aisbett shot 1-under 68 and will make sure the leaders don’t have it all their own way starting just one shot behind.

Notables in the field Peter Senior shot 3-over 72 and Ian Baker Finch shot 5-over 74.

The leaders will tee off at 1:17pm.
