There is less than 30 days to go until the
Fiji International tees off at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course from 6-9
October.

"NatadolaThe third staging of the world-class
tournament is shaping up to be the best yet and organisers are encouraging the
people of Fiji to support their biggest sporting event.

"The Fiji International is about more than
just a golf tournament. It is a celebration of Fiji, sport and life," said
Harmony Thomas, Event Manager of the Fiji International.

"The organising team work hard to ensure
that the best parts of Fiji; our friendly hospitality, artisian skills and
local produce are all on display to the competing golf Professionals and to the
world via our 20 hours of live international broadcast."

"But we are also working hard to make the
Fiji International an event that the people of Fiji enjoy attending. We want to
see a large and proud Fijian crowd cheering on their own players but also
making the international players feel welcome."

Golf enthusiasts will be entertained by one
of the strongest fields in the tournaments three year history.

Already World Number 22 Brandt Snedeker of
the United States and Fiji’s own three time Major champion Vijay Singh have
announced their intention to compete in the tournament.

They will be supported by a cast of
talented Australian players including 20 winners on the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of
Australasia.

For the first time players from European
countries will travel to Fiji to compete in the Fiji International with the
tournament now co-sanctioned by the European Tour; one of the biggest
professional golf tours in the world.

"We are so excited by how the Fiji
International field is shaping up. A high quality field is integral to the
international success of a golf tournament," added Thomas.

"Brandt Snedeker attending is a huge
opportunity. Having the top players in the world competing is a huge
endorsement for the Fiji International and will help draw more stars in the
future."

"Along with an extremely strong field from
Australia we have had players from countries like Denmark, Wales, England,
Italy and India expressing a desire to tee it up in the Fiji International."

While the quality of golf on display will
be incredible the Fiji International is more than just a golf tournament.

It’s a spectacle which is designed to
provide all Fijians with an exciting and fun experience.

With tickets available to be purchased on
the gate at the Fiji International and children allowed in for free the
tournament hopes to provide a fun day out for families.

At the Fiji International you can learn how
to play golf, relax with friends in the tournament village or celebrity spot
with many Fijian and international celebrities including Australian rugby
legend George Gregan to be in attendance.

"At the Fiji International we are aiming to
cultivate a celebratory atmosphere that everyone will enjoy," added Thomas.

"We really hope to see more spectators than
ever come to support the Fiji International, this is Fiji’s biggest sporting
event, it’s an even that belongs to the people of Fiji and we hope everyone
comes to enjoy it."

"Having a large crowd at the Fiji
International helps to create the fun atmosphere that the players love. Whenever
I chat with the players about what they have enjoyed most about the Fiji
International, they say the people and how welcome they are made to feel during
their time in Fiji."
