It was a four way tie for the win an 6-under 66 between Mathew Perry, Antonio Murdaca, Brad Moules and Luke Hickman in Tuesday’s Barwon Cleaning Supplies Portarlington Ladbrokes Pro-Am
The event won the 2016 Victorian Regional Ladbrokes Pro-Am of the year and is a favourite among the Professionals with the course always presented in perfect condition, especially after hosting Oates Vic Open Pre-Qualifying last week.
Perry held the morning lead by two shots from David Diaz and Mitch McComas but he didn’t think it would hold up in such perfect conditions
Hickman and Murdaca both set about early chasing him down. Hickman was 4-under through 9 holes and when Murdaca wedged in for eagle on the par-4 12th hole he drew level on 6-under with Perry.
Murdaca then birdied the short par 4 13th hole to take the lead however dropped back on his last hole with a three putt bogey-5 to square Perry.
Moules had a strong round which included six birdies, an eagle but also two costly bogeys, Hickman made a birdie on the 6th, his third last hole to draw level, two pars to finish left him tied for the win.
