Ben Eccles and Josh Geary have shot matching 10-under totals to finish mid-field at the Challenge Tour’s Turkish Airlines Challenge in Antalya.
The pair finished eight shots behind winner Joachim Hansen and T26 in the third event of the season.
Eccles received a sponsor’s invitation to tee up in the event and played steady golf over the 72 holes with scores of 71-68-68-71.
Geary’s start came courtesy of his European Tour status and he produced some of his best golf of the year on Thursday with an opening 66 that had him sharing the lead through 18 holes.
While he couldn’t reproduce those fireworks the rest of the week there were encouraging signs for his game with scores of 71-70-71.
Geary made 16 birdies and two eagles over the four days, the eagles both coming in the third round at the par-5 2nd and par-5 18th holes.

Victorian Ben Eccles has picked up a Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series win as he prepares for a busy stretch of ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia tournaments before returning to international duties.
Currently home to play the Oates Vic Open and ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth, Eccles made time to compete in The Sands Ladbrokes Pro-Am at Torquay, a course he grew up playing on.
Eccles won the tournament following his round of 9-under 63 to finish one shot ahead of Ruben Lal.
“I’m excited about playing close to home next week and then on to Perth for a great tournament,” said Eccles.
“I’ll head to South Africa for one Sunshine Tour event and then I’ll head to Kenya for one of the biggest European Challenge Tour events, that should be great, I’ve never play in Kenya before.”
Eccles’ round featured seven birdies and an eagle in windy afternoon conditions; he started from the first tee and birdied the 18th hole to win.
“It was good to be out there today and the course is in great condition at the moment.”
Ruben Lal was second after leading this field this morning with 8-under 64, Josh Younger was next best with 6-under 66.
