After being the only Australian to survive the cut in the final PGA TOUR event for 2017 Cameron Percy will be disappointed to slip down the leaderboard in the last round.

Opening with back-to-back scores of 69 at the RSM Classic in Georgia Percy was comfortably inside the cut line and climbed the standings with a third round 67.

But things didn’t go his way Sunday and after three straight bogeys, he hit a submerged log with a poor tee shot at the fifth.

Finding the native area off the tee Percy advanced his second shot less than a metre before taking a penalty and hitting his fourth into a fairway bunker.

From there he couldn’t find the green and eventually posted a quadruple bogey eight to be 7-over for the day.

He hit back with a birdie at the next but the end result was a 7-over 77 and he dropped from T33 Saturday night to outside the top-60.

While Percy will be less than pleased with his finish there will be little to celebrate for the other four Australasians who teed up in Georgia.

Aaron Baddeley, Danny Lee, Greg Chalmers and Stuart Appleby all missed the 2-under cut line to end the year on a less than positive note.
