The second staging of the Japan Tour’s ISPS Handa Global Cup
will feature a strong Australian presence with five players accepting
invitations to the event.

"JarrodAsh Hall, Matt Millar, Jarrod Lyle and Deyen Lawson will
join amateur Curtis Luck and Japan Tour regulars Matt Griffin, Brad Kennedy,
Kurt Barnes, Brendan Jones, Adam Bland, Won Joon Lee, Scott Strange and Aaron
Townsend in the field.

The New Zealand representation has also swelled with Michael
Long joining David Smail and Michael Hendry at the Tokinodai Country Club.

A strong field will be fighting for the title with major
winners Padraig Harrington and Charl Schwartzel both in the field as is PGA
TOUR player Emiliano Grillo.

Smail was the pick of the Australasians last year at T4 but
with the tournament moving venues for its second year there is little in the
way of form.

The Japan Tour had a break in the schedule while last week’s
US Open was played, so most in the field will be fresh.

Schwartzel and Grillo played at Oakmont and bring some
form to Japan, both having made the cut. Grillo finished T54 while Schwartzel
was T23.
