Peter Senior got off to a good start in his final full season in the US with a T21 result at this week’s Tucson Conquistador Classic.

After a successful transition to the short putter at the ISPS HANDA Perth International after almost three decades of using a broomstick, Senior opened with rounds of 69-68 at the Tucson National course to be T9 heading into the final round.

Things didn’t go as planned for the reigning Australian Masters champion on Sunday with an even par 72 seeing him slip down the leaderboard but with the season only just getting underway it was a decent result.

PGA TOUR Champions rookie Craig Parry didn’t have his best stuff this week and struggled in the opening two rounds to be near the tail of the field.

A final round of even par 72 saw him lift himself from the bottom of the leader board but it is a week he will be keen to put behind him.
