Rookie Todd Sinnott gets his second taste of European Tour golf this week when he tees up in the Africa Open in South Africa.
Sinnott earned a sponsor’s invite to last week’s Joburg Open and while disappointed to miss the cut there has a chance to atone with a second sponsor’s invite this week.
The 22-year-old turned Professional in January after earning his PGA Tour of Australasia card at Qualifying School.
He is joined in this week’s field by Brett Rumford who has endured something of a mini slump the past 12 months.
After a two win season in 2013 the West Australian struggled last year with just one top 10 in 23 events.
While he played some promising golf over the Australian summer, including finishing third at the Australian Open and earning a spot in The Open Championship, his play in early 2015 has been similar to last year.
However, Rumford has good memories to draw on at this tournament where he has played just once before in 2013.
He finished T12 that year with a scoring average of less than 70 and can perhaps find the magic again this week.
