David Merriman has won the second annual Fairbairn Pro-Am on the Ladbrokes Legends Tour with a standout round of 3-under 67.
Merriman made the most of perfect golfing conditions to secure a one-stroke victory at Fairbairn Golf Club.
The tight layout proved challenging for many but an impressive display of chipping and putting put Merriman in the lead.
“It’s the first time I’ve played the course and I was super impressed with the condition,” Merriman said.
“It was a really great day so thanks to everyone involved for putting on a great event.”
Brad Burns continued a strong run of form to finish in second place at 2-under the card alongside Terry Price who also recorded a round of 68.
England’s Ben Jackson returned to the top end of the leaderboard to finish in fourth place at even par.
Richard Gilkey and Mike Zilko tied for fifth place after firing rounds of 1-over 71.
The Ladbrokes Legends Tour now moves to the Furphy Legends Pro-Am at Murrumbidgee Country Club.
