Peter Senior will be searching for his first top-10 when he makes his fourth start of the 2016 Champions Tour at this week’s Insperity Championship in Texas.
Senior has ben a regular at the tournament since joining the Tour in 2010 but has just one top 10, in 2011, to his credit to date.
Yet to post a result better than T21 this year, Senior will be looking for a spark this week as he tries to claim his first over 50’s title in his last year of playing.
The 56-year-old has already announced 2016 will be his last year playing full time and having achieved almost everything in the game, aside from a Champions Tour victory; he has plenty of incentive to grab a title this year.
However, the reigning Australian Masters champion isn’t the sole Australian in the field this week with Mike Harwood also gaining a start due to winning the E-Z-GO PGA Legends Tour Order of Merit in 2015.
The former European Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia Professional Mike had a stellar season on the E-Z-GO PGA Legends Tour in 20015 to put him in good stead to gain a start at this week’s tournament courtesy of an exemption category for the Australian Senior Tour.
