Professionals from Australia, New Zealand, England, France, New Caledonia and Tahiti will compete for the Tahiti International Golf Open Championship around the championship Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course.

The Championship is sanctioned by the PGA of Australia as part of the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series which allows amateur golfers to tee it up alongside their Professional counterparts for the first three rounds of the tournament.

With over AU$110,000 prize money, the event is the richest South Pacific event on the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course has two distinct nines, opening with a flat beachside layout before climbing into the hills for a demanding finish. At par 70 and measuring over 6000 metres, the course will be certain to challenge competitors.

PGA Australia Senior State Manager David Barker praised the course condition and layout, “It really is a spectacular course, the layout is amazing and the views of the mountains and ocean really are unique to Tahiti," Barker said.

"The course is as good as any in the South Pacific and I am sure will be a real test of golf.”

Defending Champion Callan O’Reilly returns in search of a second victory however he will have to compete against a host of talented Professionals including former US PGA Tour Winner Andre Stolz, Samoa Open winner Peter Wilson, Fiji Open winner Kieran Muir and the 2014 New Caledonia South Pacific Championship winner Adam Stephens.
