The South Pacific Export Radler PNG Open has a proud and long history. Having previously been played on the Choice Hotels PGA Pro-Am Series its 22nd staging sees it elevated to the Tour.
With the tournament promoted to the PGA Tour of Australasia, there is a lot on the line for those teeing it up this week. Along with the winner’s share of the $140,000 purse, the champion will also walk away with Official World Golf Ranking Points and exemption onto the Tour until the end of the 2017
season.
Papua New Guinea becomes the third country the PGA Tour of Australasia has visited in 2016 after tournaments have already been played in Australia and New Zealand.
It’s also one of the most unique countries our Tour Professionals get to experience.
