Nitties and Geary both opened their rounds with a birdie before we saw the first lead change happen on the second hole.
Nitties made a bogey to leave Geary at the top on his own. However he picked that shot back up on the very next hole.
Victorian Daniel Valente also joined the lead for a period of time. He was 3-under after four holes to join the leaders.
However as the wind picked up making the closing holes on the front nine very tough, Valente dropped two shots to be T3 Nathan Green.
Green played a steady front nine, two birdies and bogey free had him through the turn at 13-under the card.
The last group were also a victim of the wind and all dropped a shot on the par-4 8th. This means that Geary and Nitties now have just a two shot lead as they start the back nine.
Currently 10 of the 11 players inside the top-10 are under par for the round.
