Norris looking to bounce back

Jason Norris will have the chance to immediately put the disappointment of last week’s close call behind him with OneAsia teeing up again this week at the SK Telecom Open.

Jason Norris will have the chance to immediately put the disappointment of last week’s close call behind him with OneAsia teeing up again this week at the SK Telecom Open.

"JasonNorris, who held a share of the lead at the
Caltex Maekyung Open with four holes to go but made two double bogeys to fall
to a share of second, would become the third Australian winner of the
tournament if he can get the job done this week.

Matthew Griffin and Kurt Barnes, who both now
ply their trade on the Japan Tour, won the event in 2013 and 2011 respectively,
the victory proving pivotal for both in taking their careers to the next level.

Norris, a multiple winner on the PGA Tour
of Australasia, played superb golf for the bulk of last week’s tournament and
despite the late misses will be a likely contender again this week.

While he will be one of the favourites
among the Australasians there are several good players who will be looking to
challenge for the title.

David Bransdon has shown a liking for the
course with a T4 result last year just two shots behind the winner and after
the disappointment of finishing runner-up in this year’s New Zealand Open will
be motivated to win.

Jordan Zunic, the man who beat Bransdon
down the stretch in Queenstown, will relish the chance to play a four round
event for just the second time since his win in February, particularly after a
disappointing showing last week.

Zunic has no official status outside the
PGA Tour of Australasia and with playing opportunities difficult to come by
this week represents a big opportunity for him.

Also among those likely to contend are Fiji
International winner Steven Jeffress, talented youngster Jake Higginbottom,
joint runner-up finishers last week Ryan Fox and Gareth Paddison and rising
star Nathan Holman.
