A brilliant eagle in
extra time has sealed victory at the PGA Tour China’s Clearwater Bay Open and
moved Daniel Nisbet into calculations for a promotion to the Web.com Tour.

""Nisbet overcame
American Alex Kang in a playoff for the title in Hong Kong after overcoming a
five shot deficit with a final round of 6-under 64.

The Queenslander holed
a 10 foot putt for eagle at the first hole of sudden death to grab the trophy
and move to 11th on the Order of Merit with three events remaining
in the schedule.

The top-5 at season’s
end earn status on the Web.com Tour for the 2017 season.

"That was probably the fastest my heart has
ever been beating on a golf course," Nisbet said of the playoff.

"I’m just happy I put together a good
score. It was good to put four rounds together back to back."

After opening with rounds of 69-67, it was
Nisbet’s brilliance over the final 36 holes which ultimately proved the
difference. The 26-year-old’s 11-under weekend with scores of 65-64 was the
best in the field.

"This is the most enjoyable week I’ve had
on a golf course," Nisbet said.

"This is the most breathtaking course I’ve
ever played. The greens are almost exactly like what I grew up on. It’s hard to
play bad golf around here."

David Lutterus was next best among the
Australians to tee up in Hong Kong at T5, veteran David McKenzie also playing
his way into the top-10 with an equal best of the day 63 on Sunday.

Asian Tour regular Scott Barr joined
McKenzie at T9 with a final round 64 of his own while Mitch Davis was the last
of the Australians in the top-20 at T17.

James
Gibellini (T26), Chris Wood (T45), Jake Stirling (T59), Peter Martin (T64) and
Do Eun An (71st) were the others to make the cut.
